Therapeutic riding provides a wonderful growth experience for children and adults with exceptional needs, including physical, emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and educational. Through a variety of activities on and off the horse, participants develop an improved sense of accomplishment, increased self-confidence, as well as a stronger sense of determination and physical strength.
At Reinbow Riding Center we tailor our programs to each individual. Caring for the well being of the horse and learning to trust it provides the foundation for essential dispositions and behaviors that transfer to everyday relationships in our communities. Organizations such as the Special Olympics, United Cerebral Palsy, Easter Seals, the U.S. Veterans organizations, American Physical Therapy Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Spina Bifida Association, Mental Health and Mentoring Programs, and programs for at risk children have recognized the benefits of therapeutic horsemanship.
