Reinbow Riding Center, a therapeutic horsemanship center based in Belmont VT, is excited to announce the addition of Julia Adams as its new full-time Instructor and Program Director. Julia is an 8th generation Vermonter with deep roots in Rutland County. She is a graduate of both Rutland High School and Castleton University and has worked in public education for the last 13 years, in addition to running her own small business. As a youth Julia grew up very involved in the University of Vermont (UVM) 4-H horse program and then volunteered as a 4-H leader in Rutland County. As a leader at the state level, she coached Vermont teams in communications and horse bowl. Julia is an “A” carded New England 4-H Horse Show Judge and over the last decade has traveled New England to share her equine knowledge by judging Open shows, 4-H shows, and also the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA), the Youth Equestrian Development Association (YEDA), and the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA). Still an Open professional rider herself, Julia enjoys riding and competing with her own American Quarter Horse, Billy. She will combine her talents of teaching, coaching, and horsemanship to bring fun, educational, and holistic experiences to all of Reinbow Riding Center’s participants. Reinbow looks forward to a wonderful season with Julia taking the reins of the program!
